Who we are

"You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you’re still one body. It’s exactly the same with Christ."

- 1 Corinthians 12:12-13 (MSG)

We are ONE UNITED. We are a ministry to teenagers who are created by a loving God to transform the world around them with the love, grace and truth of Jesus Christ. We all have different paths in life. We all have different passions, gifts and experiences. God wants to take all of the things that make us unique and create one body in Christ to reach the world. No matter who you are or where you've come from, you have a place here...just as you are.

There is a God. He loves you. He wants you to know Him. We want to help.

We are a community that exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We believe the best way to do this is to:

We are a group that loves to gather together to have our hearts moved with the life-transforming love of Jesus, to have fun enjoying the goodness of life and to become closer as friends and family. We have lots of events throughout the year as well as our weekly programs that will connect you with some of the best friends you will have in your entire life.

We grow our minds together through learning and sharing in groups. Whether in Sunday Night small groups, Sunday Morning Sunday School or Wednesday Night Fellowship, we offer opportunities to share our stories and lives with caring, compassionate youth leaders who are trained and called to minister to youth. We also have retreats and camps that will help you to grow and mature in your faith while growing in the relationships around you.

We follow Jesus not just for ourselves, but for the transformation of the world around us. Whether we are on mission in another country, across the nation or in our own hometown, we want to be the type of people that leave the world better than the way we found it. Our faith comes alive when we are using our lives to bring light to darkness.

The purpose of First United Methodist is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We strive to accomplish this by being a worship plus three church. We believe worship is of prime importance and is our foundation. In addition, we are to invite others into a relationship with God, grow in our own relationship with God and our neighbor and serve others as a continued sign of God’s work in our lives.
